Ah yes to Deadline Hollywood , where I was thrilled and perhaps a tad surprised to read that Spidey Logan did do a Spidey Screen test for the Sony studio gods , along with the Adonis himself , a muscle bound Jamie Bell , Anton ' The Bod ' Yelcin , Alden Ehrenreich, super talented Andrew Garfield from ' Never Let Me Go ' . Also Testing out the by now surely indestructible casting couch of Marc Web was Michael Angarano .

But where was 'Our Frank' ?, who surely would have looked swinging in lycra and then some . Sadly Our Frank was missing in action as being the budding thespian that he is , Our Frank is going to RADA , so congrats then to Our Frank .

While Dean gets ready with those protein shakes and those full body scan motion capture machines are being cranked up , just who will have to worry about Aunt May wobbling all over the place , the fury of J. Jonah Jamerson , the admiring glances of Harry Osborn and Gwen Stacey waiting to be dropped off the nearest bridge by The Green Goblin ?.

I'm sure that as Comic Con draws ever nearer we cant be too far away from finally finding out .

I do despair of Sony sometimes , maybe they should hire the Twilight Saga's casting director ?In Twilight land you have the Montgomery Clift of his generation Taylor , Jamie Campbell Campbell, The Boo , The Cameron and Special X himself Xavier .

Now Sony according To LA Times are looking at Adonis Aaron for the role of Sony Spider - man , which of course would be fab for many reasons , except of course he's pretty much played a version of Peter Parker in Kick - Buns ! . Also newly added to the casting couch is Anton Yelchin who I guess I'd rather see in the role than perhaps Josh Hutchinson . How they let La Logan slip through their casting web , I'll never know .

Looking at Carter above though wouldn't he just make the most banging Spidey yet ? , with the God of Beauty , Austin as Flash Gordon .

I have to say Sharpay and her brother were really one of the few things I really liked about 'High School Musical' . Given the popularity of her character , Sharpay's been given her own film ' High Stakes ' I do hope Lucas Gabriel puts in a cameo . But behold , also on location , its the God Of Beauty himself in character as a film student whose name I can't recall . Lets call him Dusty , also in the cast is Alec Mapa From 'Ugly Betty' , Alec played the wonderful Suzuki St. Pierre , oh the memories .

Just as interesting is over at ' Fuck yeah Austin Bulter! ' that the God of Beauty was spotted buying a book 'And the Hippos Were Boiled in Their Tanks ' by Jack Kerouac and William S. Burroughs. I can't say I have read this one , so I look foward to Austin's book review on this one .

To the Syfy Channel , where I used to love watching 'Dark Shadows' , and its the return of The Fabulous Phantom . This all new version of the classic comic , features Ryan Carnes in the role of Connor Saint James an interior stylist of his local ikea store in Ohio . While looking for a for a vase for particularly challenging window display , Ryan finds a ring and his true destiny is revealed to him .

I had actually forgotten that this movie was even being made , but here are some fabulous shots of the forthcoming mini series .

Personally I never really know why studios feel the need to tamper with our hero's super suits , while other designers like Jim Acheson who designed the Spidey suit for 'Spider-Man' get it spectacularly right , others like Louise Mingenbach for Bryan Singers 'Superman Returns' get it spectacularly wrong with muted colours and one muscle compressing costume .I always think Superman's suit is what is, a classic like the Coke a Cola bottle , 'if it ain't brokedon't fix it' .

Did I make the wrong choice though when I heard that Matty P in the closing credits of 'Furry Vengeance' does a spoof of the Tom Cruise tighty whitey routine in Risky Business . We shall see when its up for rental , The DVD that is not Matty P , perish the thought .

As the shows I enjoy wrapped for the summer , a thought occurred to me , ABC had , well quite a treasure trove of dreamboats across their shows . From Logan Huffman and his muscular arms of Orion on ' V ' to , Reid Ewing who plays Dylan in the truly wonderful 'Modern Family ' and lets not leave out 'thirtysomething' , whoops I meant of course 'Parenthood' which features Asher Book as Steve who accidentally comes between cousins Amber and Haddie .

Lastly and its already been cancelled is Happy Town aka Twin Peaks , I must confess to dozing off during last weeks episode but I think Ben Schnetzer who plays Andrew Haplin was still banged up in the towns jail . Ben's crime ? not going shirtless , but then neither did Bobby Briggs and his fantastic bangs in Twin Peaks so I suppose its only fair .
