I have this book with this very same cover. The first real gay novel I ever read (unless you count James Kirkwood's novels with their thinly veiled homoeroticism) and it really changed my outlook on life.
Oh how cool , yes I remember buying it in the summer of 82 at a really great bookshop in camden high street called compendium books . I think i loved the cover as much as the book ! i think the model on the cover did an advert for a hi fi company ( not that i had a crush on him or anything )
I've never heard of James Kirkwoods books , I'll check him out , thanks .
James Kirkwood is probably best known for writing the script of the musical A Chorus Line. If you can get your hands on a novel he wrote called Good Times/Bad Times I promise that you'll enjoy it.
